Alpine Climbing Tower

 

Opening in May for all to enjoy! Come out and give our tower a try, we have courses for beginner, intermediate and the advanced climber.
Members: 5 climb punch card $15
Non-member: 5 Climb punch card $30.

Read Around the World

 

Join us for some reading time. Various child appropriate books will be read during this relaxing time in the Babysitting Cabin. Have your child adventure into storyland. Fridays between 9-10am.

Memory Lane Scrapbooking

 

Need to get those pictures to memory? This class is for youth ages 7-12. Try this scrapbooking class out and learn to have fun with pictures. Must bring in your own scrapbooking pages. We have the stickers, you bring the pictures!
Monday - 4:45-5:30pm
Member: $20
Non-member: $30

 

Parents' Night Out

 

(Ages 3-12) Bring your kids to the YMCA for an evening of activities while you enjoy a night out! Kids will play games, make crafts, go swimming and eat pizza while being supervised by our trained YMCA staff. Limit of 24 participants.

Celebrate your birthday with the Hastings Lake YMCA! Our party themes are: Splash Bash, Ninja Training, Hip Hop, Arts & Crafts, and the Alpine Climbing Tower (summer only). We host the party and you have all the fun!

Family Fun Nights

 

Spend quality time together as a family and meet other families while having fun at the YMCA. Family nights are held the 1st Friday
of every month from 7-9pm.
These nights are FREE and open to the entire community.

Jazz (Teen/Adult)

 

This class is tailored for ages 16 and up. Jazz dance basics will be covered in this class. Be prepared to move to the groove in the Beginner/Intermediate level class and have some fun! Comfortable dance apparel and shoes are recommended.

Ballet (Youth & Adult)

 

Children's Ballet (Ages 5-11)
Adult Ballet (Ages 16+)
This class will give you the basic techniques of ballet. Barre work and center floor work will be covered. Solid color leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers are required for females. Males should wear solid color leotard, black tights and black ballet shoes.

Karate Classes

 

Participants will learn the "Shotokan" style of karate. Classes will consist of basic techniques per rank level, sparring (fighting) and kata (forms). Participants also will learn self-confidence, discipline, self-esteem and respect in a family-oriented class. Basic Japanese language and etiquette will be introduced.

Bo Staff - This class is for the karate student yellow belt and up who would like to try a beginning level "Bo" class. This class will be done outdoors under the pavilion when weather permits.

Li'l Dragons - (Ages 3-5) This class has karate oriented games. Students work on large motor skills as well. No advancement in this class.

Li'l Tigers - (Ages 5-8)

This class is an introduction to Shotokan karate, great for those participants just getting started and continuing forward. Students will advance within the class.
$$

Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced - (Ages 8+) - Will go deeper into the forms and techniques of Shotokan karate. Students will advance within the class.
$$

Adult Karate - (16 and up) Adults, this is a class just for you! This class will cover all the basics of Shotokan karate and you will advance within
this class.
$$

Belt Exams - Belt Exams are scheduled at the end of 3 seasons (spring, summer and fall)
$$
