All instructors' qualifications are well above required standards. Specialty classes are fee-based and require registration at the Member Relations desk. Fall I is an 8-week session followed by Fall II, a 7-week session. Prices are listed below.
This workshop will focus on the dynamics of heart rate training as it relates to physical activity. You'll discover the different training zones and what it can do for your workouts. This workshop is beneficial to anyone who wants to learn how to improve their cardiovascular fitness.
Objectives:
We strongly recommend purchasing a heart rate monitor prior to the workshop (if you don't already have one). However, bringing a heart rate strap is the only requirement.

This class will consist of non-stop strength and cardio exercises with focus on continual movement, integrating the entire body using "Functional Training." It's a unique combination of cable tower training, cardio, endurance and functional muscle strength. Class will be split between the gym and aerobics studio. Tower strength training will take place in the aerobics studio, where as agility/cardio endurance training will take place in the gym. Join us for the challenge!

Adult Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music/dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps.

Sure, chillin' out is cool. But rockin' out is a blast! That's why you're gonna love the Zumbatomic fitness program for kids. It's a fast-forward fusion of the Zumba program's moves (salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, hip-hop and more) and high-octane workouts designed to let kids ages 4-12 max out on fun and fitness all at the same time. Safe and effective, kids can't wait to get into the Zumbatomic groove. Watch their energy and fitness levels soar as they get in the groove!

(Ages 12-Adult) Many styles of martial arts are practiced for self-defense. This class will teach participants effective self-defense techniques and is tailored to give the person some instruction in various styles of self-defense in a short period of time. Participants will learn to handle everyday, realistic, potentially life-threatening situations. This course applies different styles of martial arts including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Karate and Tae Kwon Do as
well as covers some aspects of stand up and ground situations.
Your instructor brings 35+ years of various martial arts experience, including black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Karate, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and many years of experience also in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and regular Jiu-Jitsu.

Moms In Motion is an accredited program for pregnant and postpartum women of all ages and exercise levels. This 45-minute class consists of stretching, strength training, cardiovascular fitness, balance and postural changes. All participants must have a medical release signed by their physician. Articles will also be provided.

(Ages 7-Adult) Practice Traditional Karate-Do (Style Shotokan). Classes consist of stretching, the fundamental skills of punching, blocking, kicking, kata (a sequence of prearranged forms) and fighting techniques. Participants will learn selfdefense, self-discipline, self-esteem and self-respect while having fun and getting a great workout. Class emphasizes mind, body and spirit. Basic Japanese language, customs and etiquette are also introduced.
