Invest in a Trainer!

 

Investing in a personal trainer is also investing in you! Your trainer will play a major role in educating you and will serve as a source of motivation and encouragement throughout your training program. Your personal trainer will develop a program tailored to your individual needs based on your fitness evaluation and your personal goals

Whether your goal is to lose weight, build muscle, strengthen your core or improve your golf game, the Foglia YMCA has the right trainer for you! All trainers hold a variety of national certifications and are diverse in their educational backgrounds. All are required to attend continuing education courses to keep up-to-date in the latest and safest training techniques. Your trainer, your choice.

Personal Training (All Levels)

 

Your personal trainer will design a program specific to your needs and goals. We can help you with weight training, flexibility, sports conditioning, weight loss and basic nutrition. We will also help you establish safe and effective workout habits, while motivating you to get healthier. This is a one-on-one experience. For best results, we suggest that you register for 2 or 3 sessions per week to get started. Personal training is available for ages 12 and up. Pick up a personal trainer request form at the Member Relations desk or Healthy Lifestyles Center and a trainer will call you to set up a time that is convenient for you.

Partner Personal Training (All Levels)

 

Find a partner to train with and save some money. A personal trainer will design a program for you and a friend to help you meet your similar needs and goals. Our personal trainers can help you establish safe and effective workout habits, while giving you non-stop motivation. For best results, we suggest that you register for 2 or 3 sessions per week to get started.

(NEW!) TRX Group Suspension Training

 

(NEW!) TRX Group Suspension Training: TRX is a new way to workout for all fitness levels that builds all body strength, flexibility and your core at the same time. Quick transitions keep your heart rate going to burn calories. The TRX harnesses your own body weight to create resistance as you train... you control the resistance by adjusting position and body angle. That's all you need- the TRX and your own body. It's fun!

Body Blast - The program moves through a variety of exercises including: warmup, upper body, lower body and core. This program engages all your muscles with this non-stop total body workout. It is ideal for people who are new to TRX and who want a fun, high energy experience.

Cardio Circuit - This high intensity program moves participants through fast-paced cycles of upper body, lower body, core and cardio exercises. You'll get non-stop movement as you do multiple sets of exercises targeting all of your muscles. You'll finish tired, sweaty and feeling great! Core Strength - Build crucial core strength from the innermost abdominal muscles and lower back, and build a new, healthy base for your fitness routine - and do it in less time.

Flexibility - Get back the length of muscle and ease of movement your body needs for peak performance and health, with a tailored stretching program perfect for all fitness levels.

(NEW!) Kettlebell Group Training

 

Kettlebell Group Training will consist of a full body warm-up, and progresses into teaching the foundation kettlebell lifts (swing, squat pull, clean, snatch, deadlift, press and the Turkish Get Up). Proficiency in these foundation lifts will ensure your success in losing body fat, increasing your strength, correcting strength imbalances and overall general fitness. Program also includes a conditioning segment guaranteed to get your heart rate up and melt body fat while building a solid foundation in form and technique.

Group Personal Training (All Levels)

 

Get the personalized attention you need while sharing in the fun and motivation of getting fit with your friends. You can choose to work out in a group of 3 or 4 with the guidance of a certified personal trainer. All you need to do is find a group that would like to work out together, pick a day and time and stop by the Member Relations desk for a request form. If you do not have a group, please call and we will do our best to match you into a group.
