Zoofari Club is for preschool children to introduce them to an amazing summer camp experience. Camp leader/camper ratio is 1:6. Campers need to bring a healthy snack, sack lunch and non-spill water bottle every day. Extra water will be provided when needed. Campers must be potty-trained by first day of camp.
Zoofari Camp is held in an air-conditioned preschool classroom with easy access to the outdoors.
As if going to camp wasn't enough fun, Zoofari Club is overflowing with activities such as: learning new interactive outdoor games - making fun and easy crafts - enjoying a special guest or an in-house field trip - making new friends while learning to socialize independently - having a wet and crazy time with water tables and water games - learning new songs - and most of all just having FUN! Every camper will receive one T-shirt. Additional T-shirts are available for a fee. T-shirts are distributed the first day of camp.

Extended Care For Zoofari Camp
(3-5 years)
Day/Time: Mon-Fri, 1-3pm
Need a little extra time after Zoofari Camp is over? Sign your child up for Extended Care and your problems are solved. Campers will enjoy some outdoor time/or gym time, afternoon snack, story time and fun easy crafts.

The Kindergarten Camp is a perfect way to help young campers transition into their new school experience. Campers will practice listening skills, conflict resolution, sharing and independence skills within our daily activities. Camp fun includes age-appropriate sports, nature projects, art, dance, swimming and one field trip a week with Safari Club Campers. We strive to create exciting activities while providing a safe and fun learning environment.
Campers need to bring a lunch in an insulated lunch bag, 2 healthy snacks and a water bottle daily. Every camper will receive two T-shirts. Additional T-shirts are available for a fee. T-shirts are distributed the first day of camp.

Join the Kroehler Family YMCA for a summer of preschool fun! This camp is designed to introduce preschool children to the summer camp experience. Curriculum is based on our educational preschool program. Camp includes themed activities, outdoor time, nature education, in-house field trips, crafts, story and circle time, snack and more.

Located at the Kroehler Family YMCA, Camp Hedgehog offers your child a variety of their favorite camp activities - including camp songs, crafts, team building games, and swimming twice a week in the Kroehler Y warm water, shallow training pool. Plus, your child will participate in fun and exciting in-house field trips.
Your child will enjoy individualized attention in small camp groups where our staff to camper ratio is 1:6. Our friendly, experienced camp staff will give your child an unforgettable introduction to the camp experience as they help build independence, and socialization skills. Join them and your camper each week at our parent/child participation event to see what Camp Hedgehog is all about.

Camp Kindergarten

Our kindergarten camp offers an ideal transition to longer school days and traditional day camps. Camp Kindergarten will spend the morning with Camp Hedgehog participating in camp songs, crafts, team building games and more. Each afternoon they will have group swim lessons followed by recreational swim time. They will end their day with enrichment classes such as science, math and Spanish.
Campers should bring a backpack to camp daily with a lunch bag, 2 healthy snacks, a water bottle, swim suit and towel.

Committed to the "Leave No Child Inside" national initiative, your camper will explore the outdoors and learn about the environment. Staff undergo days of extensive training that includes CPR/First Aid, behavior management, curriculum design and child-abuse prevention, giving them the tools necessary to guide your child through a fun and safe summer. Campers are always looking forward to the next day at Camp Aurora Explorers!
Parents are welcome to join their child and camp staff each week at our parent/child participation event to celebrate the camp week. Each child will receive one T-shirt. Additional T-shirts are available for a fee.
Nancy Young Elementary School is conveniently located near the Eola/Liberty intersection, minutes away from I-88. This school friendly location has access to a playground, multipurpose room, and plenty of outside green space.
